Public consultation - Draft Abbey Barn North Development Brief:

Wycombe District Council is inviting comments on the Draft Abbey Barn North Development Brief – Supplementary Planning Document.

The Development Brief sets out the guiding principles of how the site could be developed in the future to provide new, high-quality housing and how the undeveloped land should be managed.

The public consultation will run from 20 November to 17 December 2019 at 11.59 pm.

A drop in event will be held on Tuesday 3rd December from 15:00 – 20:00 in the foyer at the Council offices.

Full details are available at:

www.wycombe.gov.uk/consultations

Fall out from a Liaison Group Trevor Snaith attended...

• 140 homes planned
• Access will be onto Abbey Barn Road/Kingsmead Road
• Properties will not have individual gardens
• A drop in event will be held on Tuesday 3rd December from 15:00 – 20:00 in the foyer at the Council offices.

Points arising from Liaison Group
• All traffic will come onto a realigned Abbey Barn Lane/Abbey Barn Road/Kingsmead Road
• The realign of the junction is still not been specified
• Was suggested a road from top of estate onto Abbey Barn Lane was needed as most traffic would be heading that way
• No consideration for infrastructure impact on Wycombe Marsh has been considered
• The design without private garden space was not a good idea--- no security for dogs and children
• The developer could not readily identify the target market and who purchasers for such a design would be
• Was suggested a drop in would be more appropriate at WMC … not taken up by WDC !
